A bad CAR day!

by shaz_the_prole @ 2006-08-22 - 19:32:38

Is it Friday 13th? Checks calendar Nope definitely not, but it does feel that way. Today at work it was rush rush rush then i recieved a phone call could I collect one of the twins from school there was an accident and a goal post fell and hit him on the head - yup a trip to A& E ensued followed by a diagnosis of mild concussion- wonderful.
So home we go, arrive home late and rush to cook dinner for the starving hoardes ( aka the family. Marc is in a rush its sea cadets, can he take my car because its parked in front of his - Yes I scream take it - I am busy refereeing a spat between the sproglings.
An hour later the phone rings its Marc - ummm errrr I dont know what to say one of my cadets has driven his car into the side of yours - silence - hello Shaz are you there? Yup I am here, Marc continues - the left side is smashed up - now i have images of a mangled wreck - was anyone hurt - No just your car.

Its another bad car day! In the past 18 months I have had a stoned boy racer collide head on into me while he was trying to tune in his radio instead of looking - writing off my BMW and breaking three of my ribs and writing off my car - he was doing 70 mph in a 20 zone. I then collected my new car from the dealer 3 weeks later and on the way from the showroom, I hit a major diesel spill and ended up in a 6 car pile up on a roundabout rebreaking the 3 healing ribs and breaking 3 more and dislocating my shoulder, the car I had owned for 45 mins was a write off. This current car I have owned for just over a year and well who knows if it will be repairable? I cant stand the thought of yet another car being consigned to the great scrap yard in the sky when it was barely out of its wrappings. If its not friday the 13th then perhaps it should be.

In response to the Neds who beat up my 11 yr old sons today ...

by shaz_the_prole @ 2006-08-15 - 18:15:51

After a hard day at work, working in the areas designated by the scottish executive as those suffering from severe economic deprivation, I returned to the leafy Ayrshire town in which I live. I was knackered as per usual and looking forward to hugging my children and putting my feet up with a nice cup of coffee while waiting for dinner to cook and then my day was shattered. While I was out working with those labelled societies victims I discovered my twin boys had been attacked by a gang of 9 teenagers who were attempting to steal their trainers. One of the twins got away and raised the alarm, my parents arrived on the scene to witness my other son on the ground being kicked in the ribs and the face, with one youth delivering a punch to his face before he ran off. So now my sons are starting their first day at the Academy tomorrow with bruised faces and bruised ribs, one black eye and one split lip and a lump on the others head.

I work to try to help people such as these thugs, help their parents and them in anyway possible - and while I am doing that - simillar people are away beating up my children? How in good conscience will I be able to work with these individuals should then need me, its my job to help them but I will be thinking ... which child did you assault on your way here, whose baby did you sell drugs to, who are you going to mug tonight? When did you last turn your grannies house over? etc etc. And all the time I will be wanting retribution for those victims of the crimes when these 'poor victims of society' are confessing theirs to me!
